Snowball fights, sleigh rides, building a snowman or an igloo are some of our favourite winter activities! Winter is a great time for reflections and planning. With many activities, it is, as well, an excellent time not just for the kids but for the adults, too, I feel! ๐
So if you happen to see 2 ladies shrieking while sliding down one of Rujiลกte hills on a red sleigh last weekend, that would probably be me and my daughter’s teacher! ๐
As I visited Bosnia only during summer so far and temperaturs were always about 40 C sleigh is the last thing that comes to my mind thinking of Bosnia. But I do remember that my host from Mostar was talking about ski center about 20 km from the town. It soundeded then just like fantasy for us ๐

Thanks for passing by, Bogdanem! Mountains are great not just for winter but also for summer seasons as the air up there then is cooler.
Important though, always to check with locals on the safety of the roads before travelling up there. There are also skiing available depending on the climate. Wishing you a great week ahead!

I am nodding with agreement! Winter is so much fun for all of us. We don’t have enough snow to go sledging but the white flakes are such a giggle!
Hope you are keeping warm and loving the season. I enjoyed the quote and your inspiring post.

Yep! Very astute of you, B. She’s a winter baby. Every winter, she grows suddenly a few centimeters taller! ๐๐

Many thanks for passing by, Rosemary! ๐ North Bosnia is usually covered in snow in winter. For the Herzegovina part, because it is usually very sunny so even if there is snow, it melts by noon in the midst of the city, excepting the mountain areas. Wishing a great week ahead, too! Ps : Love your latest post ( http://lechicenrose.com/2015/02/06/tyrolean-traditions-and-hapsburg-palaces-in-innsbruck-part-1/) , your brief summary on the history part and the highlights of events was interesting for me. ๐

Except for the two years I spent in Sweden I never had a lot of snow in winter… I was a bit scared of sledging but really enjoyed snow fights and making snowmen ๐
This year I spent the whole winter in (very hot) tropical weather, so it is nice to see some snow even if it is on pictures ๐

I’ve not been skiing since I was a teenager but things like this bring those memories flooding back.
My daughter did a ski season for the first time December last year to March this year and lived it. She picked up the skiing very quickly so I can understand why your kids enjoy it so much.
